The surrounding countryside with quiet winding roads and gentle terrain is relatively traffic free, where you can enjoy a peaceful walk or safe cycling.

There is a supermarket and petrol station in Villebois Lavalette, that is less than 10 mins away. Small shops can be discovered in the village.

The local village also has an excellent restaurant- Le Lavalette, where you will find the right atmosphere to enjoy excellent food and wines.There is a produce market in the covered mediaeval town square on Saturday & Wednesday mornings.

In case of emergencies, a garage, bank, post office, vets, dentist, and doctors can be found close by.
The local tourist office has free internet connection and  lots of information about cycling, special walks around the countryside, and the best places for horse riding, canoeing, flying and fishing.
